From Idea to Reality
LaGrand was founded in 2023, inspired by the transformative “new space” era that has revolutionized the possibilities of satellite data. We enhanced and tested an initial algorithm designed to monitor and track steel production sites. Early results demonstrated the value of this highly innovative approach, proving that satellite data could be leveraged for real-world industrial applications.
These early milestones inspired further algorithmic refinements and the exploration of other possible applications. Encouraged by positive market feedback, we decided to transform our research into a business. Today, LaGrand has pivoted to focus on satellite-based energy monitoring, delivering predictive maintenance intelligence for district heating networks and solar installations.

The space industry has evolved. Weekly, global thermal observations are now public, objective, and scalable. By combining these independent data sets with modern machine learning super-resolution, we eliminate the need for expensive, manual on-site scans or high-carbon aerial drone inspections.
